I have the hinge supports - but is there a way to install them without removing the entire oven-warming drawer-microwave stack? Q&A advised that I could just pull it out a few inches; but the screws holding the supports go in from the front - and are blocked by the flanges of the oven's interior sheet metal. Is there a way to remove the whole oven liner without completely removing the assembly?

A local Thermador service person advised that in his long experience, the hinges solved the problem of the door not quite closing - even though swapping doors didn't fix it. It turns out the newer hinges are much, much more powerful than the 10-year-old originals and do fix it.

Hi.

You should be able to get an access to the hinge supports from outside by pulling the oven out for a 10" or less. There are covers from both sides, just remove them.

Here is the breakdown diagram 32-Outer Oven Skin parts for Thermador SMW272YW AFTER S/N 8204 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Simon.
