Our Whirlpool Gold started smoking tonight and the control panel was unresponsive. We had to remove power to the device to power it off and the whole house smells like smoke.

Is this worth repairing as it is almost 10 years old? Do other brands such as Bosch have fire issues too?

Thanks you
