Can you help me narrow down the offending part with my Maytag DE612 electric dryer, a mid-80's model, that:
1) squeals metal-to-metal sounds from the rear with medium to heavy loads 2) is quiet with light loads

Replaced the right rear drum support roller that had worn through the grease on it's axle and had 'polished' that axle's surface. Works quietly now - thanks for the help, Bill Originally Posted by: Simon / APP Team Hi.
