My Maytag fridge gets really hot on the front middle panel. I do know that the fan "not" running is causing it. But while the fridge is on I spin the stopped fan and it keeps going for a long while, maybe hours. Then later on I find it stopped again and the fridge is hot on the front again. Is it simply a fan motor or something else maybe?
Thanks

Here are your parts Replacement parts for MAYTAG MZD2766GEB | AppliancePartsPros.comYes: The odds are high that that is your only problem. I would replace it. Also make sure that the condenser coils are clean. It is a a pain to clean them on this unit with it's jelly roll. I clean my unit by removing the rear cover and kick plate. Roll it over to an open door and blow it out with a compressor. Also have been told a leaf blower works well. At least it cuts down on some of the dust in the house. Note that my fridge is directly across from an outside door so I do not have to worry about ripping or scratching the floor so you may not be able to do this depending on your kitchen layout. It is not worth chancing screwing up the floor. Can also use a vacuum and a brush Part number: AP4320046
