after the washer fills it hums then nothing.few minutes later it hums:confused:

Post model number for more accurate information. But what you are describing sounds like the motor can’t turn and cutting off because it is overheating. There are a few things that will cause this. One is that something is hung in the water pump. This is rare on Whirlpool but I do occasionally see it. Check that first and post what you find along with you model number.
