This is about the 4th time I've unplugged it and started over in the past year. We weren't using it since we were remodeling and it was empty. Now I need it! Works fine for a week or so then slowly gets warmer and warmer. Was level not tilted back. I now tilted it back and tried to get the doors to close from half open but they won't. Do you think the water was staying in the drain line instead of draining down into the refrigerator to drain out? The bottom of the freezer started to get ice buildup just before I turned it off. I have unplugged it to let it thaw out.

Can you provide a model # so we can see what style unit you've got.

There are three different items that make up the defrost system. The timer, defrost thermostat, and the defrost heater. There were a couple of different versions on the heater set up depending on the B/M # on the model/serial plate. I believe the 4 after the 7 is actually an A, but even with that the B/M # comes into play. Can you check out the ID plate and double check what you have.
