I have a Kenmore Frostless Freezer that has been in storage the past 5 years. Cosmetically it is in excellent condition and it worked fine prior to being put in storage. I plugged it in and the lights turn on but the motor/fan does not start. It was only used for 4 years prior to being moved to storage. Anyone have any suggestions.

Thank you

Might have been in defrost when it was unplugged 5 yrs ago. How long did you leave it on when you plugged it in this time? Defrost timer cycle usually lasts for about 20 to 25 minutes.

If that isn't it then it still might be the timer that's bad or possibly the thermostat. Did you look in the back of the unit to see if any critters may have gotten in there and chewed some wiring.
