Recently shut off water supply to unit in order to replace a faucet on the common supply line. My wife attempted to run the dishwasher while I was at hardware store. Water supply turned back on but unit doesn't seem to pump water.. just heats up dry.... possibly burned out the pump?
Any feedback would be appreciated. I do not have the model# at this time but it's a base model inexpensive Tappan.
Also.. I am not extensively experienced in appliance repair. is this likely to be something a 'fair' handyman could handle?
Thanks for the feedback... first time on this site. AJK03890@yahoo.com

Make sure the water shut off valve for the dishwasher is open. The name plate with the model number is on the door frame.
