I found out that the reason that my dishwasher was not washing the top rack was that the rod that holds the chopper had broken off and the screen was clogged with food and therefore lack of water pressure prevented water from reaching the top rack sprayers. I need to know how to replace the broken shaft that holds the screen and chopper, from the top. Is it somehow attached by any means to the motor or is it just inserted in the unit. Is it spring loaded?
Thank you

The shaft on the screen is spring loaded. If you got the old one out fine you should have no problem installing the new one.
