Yesterday morning my dishwasher starting making some sounds out of the blue. It started running by itself, but not like an actual cycle, just a slow sorta watery sound. When I looked in the dishwasher was dry inside, and there were no lights lit on the panel. When I started the dishwasher to see if it would stop this issue it did not. The only way to keep it from running was to cut power at the breaker or leave the door unlatched.
I noticed about a month ago I lost the ability to use the "ultimate scrub" setting, it would never light up. I just replaced the upper spray arm 2 days ago.
Is this a fixable problem, what part would I need, and is it worth fixing or is this model self-destructing and need replacement?
We use this dishwasher every other day, and I believe the unit is around 5 years old.
