Need a starting point. My Wife found a used dishwasher, but the guy told her it stopped working. She bought it for $20- a steal since it looks like new. She was under the impression her Husband (me) can fix anything. I attached a new power cord, attached the water line...and the control panel is dead. I'm looking for any Spec sheet, electric schematic, and hints on how to access the main board in the door. Where should I start? There is power to the box where the cord attaches. I checked circuit breakers, and I do not know if there is any kind of fuse in the dishwasher.
Any advice is appreciated, signed- frustrated husband with a Wife who thinks this is a no-brainer for me (ugh).

well....I found the thermal fuse and it is, indeed, blown. The part number on your site matches the number on my thermal fuse, with the exception of "AXE4". On my thermal fuse, the number is "ASF3". Your number "1025" is "0625" on my fuse. The kit has the wires included but they are not the same as the wires on my dishwasher. Suggestions? I need to order this part but don't know if the one I see on your site is the same. please help

I'm not getting any replies so I'll reply with my progress for others to use. I received the thermal fuse yesterady from APP (thx-fast delivery). I installed it- per directions--easy. Dishwasher runs great....BUT I now have a leak. AT first it was leaking quite a bit. After several washes, the leaking minimized. Now, it only drips a bit but I cannot figure oput form where. Can anyone give me an idea on what might be a good guess for the source of the leaking? thx
