My Whirlpool Quiet partner II will not stop draining. If I try to start a wash cycle the water comes in(hot on both sides of water inlet) and immediatly drains out.(hot on drain tube). It still trys to run but starts to stink shortly afterward. ANy Ideas?

Is the drain motor (not wash motor) running like it's pumping the water out right away?

If it's draining the water out without the drain pump (the little pump) running?
If so then it could be siphoning the water out or just running out from gravity if the drain hose is not higher then the water level in the dishwasher and has a air gap at the top of the drain hose.

My understandind is that there is not a drain motor. It uses one pump for everything. Anyway. I opened the door and held the switch down with a screwdriver and saw that it was filling and pumping out at the same time. Then i noticed a horrible smell was coming from the door. Took out the control board and it was fried. I think I found the problem.

#15 is the drain motor and #18 is the main motor in this diagram for your model dishwasher.

Glad you found the problem, wonder why the thermal fuse on the control board did not blow?
