I just bought a house that has the above oven in it.

The digital display does not work although some of the touch pads do work. The Baking/Broiling etc do not work.

If I buy the control board and replace it, will that solve the problems and how hard is it to replace. From the diagram it looks like it's just a couple of ribbon connections.

You might have several problems, the electronic control and also the keypad. I don't know that just the control panel display failing would prevent some of the keyboard keys from functioning.

I would think replacing the control should correct the display problem.

Once you get to it, it shouldn't be that difficult. I do not know exactly what is involved in accessing it on your model although that too isn't usually that difficult on most models.

Thank you so much for your help. I had read that the lack of display in the control panel is quite a common problem with the jennair ww27430w. The guy on the Jennair help line told me that these ovens only have a life span of 10 to 13 years and told me that I would have to spend $3000 to buy a new one. This was very easy to fix and it only cost $180..or so. Now I just need to find the owners manual online. Thanks again.

It is a common failure on all brands and models of appliances that use such controls... unfortunately.

I had been searching for that for hours and couldn't find it. One more thing, is there a way to replace the facade of that oven with Stainless Steel?

AFAIK that oven model was never available in stainless steel so such parts would not be available, no.
