Just to show how novice I am, it only took an evening for me to discover that I had not turned the water back on for the washer....

With the water on, everything seems to be working great now--thanks ever so much!!

Problem: Whirlpool LSL9244EQ0 wouldn't spin or agitate
Solution: Replaced coupler ($15), replaced motor (used, $50)
Time: about 1.5 hours (would have been faster if I fully tested the motor at the start)
Skill level: Simple, novice level (with help from this forum!)
