Hello,

I am replacing the starter relay on my fridge and a week went by between the time I pulled the old part out and receiving the new part. I was an idiot and didn't mark the the color orientation of the red and white wires... I need to know which wire goes to the N terminal and which goes to the L terminal. The fridge just clicks, hums at the compressor for about 30 sec and then clicks off. I'm pretty sure the compressor is toast but I wanted to replace the starter and capacitor before condemning the fridge completely. I hooked the white up to the L and the red up to the N, the wires looked normal that way but when I hooked them up the other way they looked tweeked, so I left them the other way. The fridge did the same thing it was doing before and I just wanted to make sure I didn't screw up.

The wire connections to the start device are non-polar, the compressor should start. Failure to start means you have a bad compressor.
