While cleaning the cooktop with Easy Off oven cleaner, I accidentally got overspray on the raised vent cap. The finish appears to be damaged. I used water, then Hadco Stainless Steel polish, then Cerama Brite stainless steel polish to try to clean it, but there are still spots on the vent cap. Can anything be used to clean this, or does the vent cap need to be replaced? If it needs replaced, is it an easy job?
