At first the machine rattled when draining. Then it started to leak a little. Now it leaks a lot. I took the drain pump off to see if anything was in there. I saw a penny i couldn't reach it. I tried flushing with water and i lost it. I took part of the circulating drain off and found a penny. i retrieved it but I don't know if it was the same penny. I put everything back together and did a load and it still leaks. Is my drain pump bad? it still drain through the hose but under the washer also and the only thing that look like water is dripping from it is the drain pump. What should I do?

Blessns, If you look really close, you'll probably find a cut in the drain pump housing, and will need to replace it, Part number: AP4365341
It wouldn't be the first time something metal in the pump, cut through the wall. You should also disconnect the hoses from the tub and clear any restrictions and possible metal objects from the tub bottom sump, as best possible. Good Luck, :) :) :)

I took Joe's advise and ordered a drain pump. I recieved my part in the mail yesterday. I have to say it got here sooner than I thought. I replaced the drain pump and my washer is working like new again. NO MORE LEAKS!!! I put a new sign above my washer reminding the users to empty their pockets because my washer cannot digest coins or objects. It's fatal to my washers health.Thank you sooooo much Joe for your help, patience and time. I appreciate you and APP. I will spread the word about APP and you have a loyal customer in me. Thanks again. Blessns
