Here is the parts breakdown Replacement parts for RF396PXY models | AppliancePartsPros.comNo you should not have to take it off. Be sure to unplug the stove when doing this because on many units units one side of the element is still alive even with the oven shut off. Undo the plates holding the element to the back of the oven. Carefully pull the element into the oven. Undo the connectors and replace the element. It is a good idea to clip something (clothespin etc.) to the wires so that they cannot disappear into the back of the oven. |
