The left front burner stopped working all the sudden, it was on and just gave up in the middle of cooking. when I turn the switch on the switch indicator red light gets on but nothing else, no smoke or any humming noise. What could it be? I took the top off looking for some obvious but I found nothing. Any help would be truly appreciated.

The easiest way to see which one is the problem. The switch, or the element, is to, get a cheap ohm meter, and check the terminals on the switch, betwwen L1, and H1. First kill the power to the oven. Then pull the wires off those two terminals, and put you meter on ohms, and then turn the switch on, as if you were going to turn that burner on, and put your meter leads on L1 and H1. If you get a reading the burner is bad, if you don't, the switch is bad. It is real simple if you follow these directions. You just need the meter. Tom
