At certain times pump wont come on. The pump will be hot to touch, can touch upto 2 seconds. If I drain some water, pump willl come on and complete the cycle. When we first puchased this it did the same thing. The repairman replaced the pump. He took the pump off another assembly, attached it to our assembly. Both had Hanning DPO 40-006 pump motors. Can I replace just the pump motor? is there a cross reference to find just the pump motor and not the complete assembly? The complete assembly is $ 170.00 have seen another hanning pump motor, but can't read its part number to see if the same. That pump motor is $ 55.00.

When the parts like this pump are listed in combination that's the way replace them, so really cannot say if another motor is compatible.

Here is the pump on this site (no, we who respond are not associated with APP or its parts operations), substantially less than what you listed. My recommendation is to replace the pump assembly.
