I have a GE Profile frig that is just over 5 years old. For the past 2 years I've had the same issue...too warm and then too cold. Sometimes the freezer starts defrosting to the point everything is melting, then it works the way it should and then sometimes it's in a deep freeze where it's below 0. It has been cycling through all three for 2 years now. The frig stays at a good temp except for the compartments....they are too cold and whatever is in there will freeze. So the frig compartments at the bottom will freeze and whatever is near the bottom of the door will freeze.

I have had three people look at it and I get different answers so I really don't know what to think. The board has been looked at and looks perfect and the sensors have been replaced. The sensors being replaced didn't solve the problem. I was told most recently if it's not the sensors then it's the compressor and I should just purchase a new frig. Really? It's only 5 years old and I need a new frig? I was told it could be the fan by one and the other said it can't be.

Can someone please give me some guidance? I hate to spend hundreds here and there on troubleshooting.
