Sometimes in wash or spin, the motor runs start, stop, start, stop about twice a second for several minutes. Sometimes it just hums as if it isn't getting near enough power.
The Motor is not binding and usually washes at full speed and power.
If the start - stop symptom occurs in Normal Fast, then Gentle Fast 'may' cause the motor to hum and not turn. There is no speed difference between Fast and Slow, both appear to be fast.
Running the E-Prom tests show no errors.
I replaced the Control Module, AP3156198 but the symptoms continued.
I then found the connection inside the motor for the low speed operation is intermittently open when the motor’s centrifugal switch is engaged so it looks like the motor will need to be replaced but the replacement (P/N AP3160670) has a completely different power plug and requires a starting capacitor that is not needed with the current motor. Is it possible order the correct motor? If not, how do I connect the existing plug/wiring to the replacement motor?
