Broke the top of the stove and need info on how to replace the glass cooktop for a Frigidaire model #PLES389ECC. Thanks

Remove the screw on each side.
•
Remove the two screws under the console.

Pull down the console. Remove the screw on both sides of the console.How to reach the cooktop Surface Elements • Remove the control panel.

Remove the four screws on the
front on the burner box (two on both side). •
Pull up on the entire burner box
and in order reach the surface elements, just flip over the burner box. • Unscrew the burner box from all
sides. •
Remove the burner box from the glass top. • Remove the retainer bar by
applying pressure to the extremity and pulling the anchorage away from the retainer bar in order to free the surface element.
*** There is no need to unplug all the elements upon replacing the glass cooktop. ***
•
Follow these steps backward in order to re-assemble the cooktop and the control panel.

No, no problems. I should be able to replace my glass top with info I've found. I just prefer to have as knowledge as possible before I disassemble something for the first time. I found service manuals for older versions of my Frigidaire FES367DSC but they weren't exactly what was looking for. After searching various forums I came across this one, the way you phrased your post made me curious to known if you had access to service manuals that aren't as widely available. If you know of any databases that may contain manuals of the more technical variety(i.e. not the basic ones that come with the stove) related to the above mentioned range pointing me in its direction would be appreciated. :D

You may want to contact the manufacturer, and see if they can get you a hard copy, Part number 318202121 , Service manual. Frigidaire 1-800-451-7007 :cool: :cool: :cool:
