I have a caloric double oven. Then bottom oven doesn't get hot, but it broils. I see the pilot light lit, and I smell gas. This happened before, when I cleaned it really well, it started working again. It quit again and I need it for my Turkey! My top oven gets too hot to bake in.

Most likely the problem is a weak oven igniter which has to be replaced to solve it. In order to provide most accurate advise we need the complete model number of the range.

Gene.
