If this fails, one of your keypad buttons is jammed. Try to unjam it. Unplug keypad, if this fixes it, you need a new keypad.
Usually, the clean light will flash in 7 flash intervals, if not, try the keypad unplug routine above. You were correct - it worked!!!! - except on my Whirlpool model DU1055XTPQ3 it was the combination of hi temp wash & heated dry buttons that unstuck mine. Thanks for the quick fix. I knew it was a code and had tried several combinations of buttons, just not in that particular sequence- don't believe I would have ever ramdomly found it without your help- Thanks!!

Thank you all so much for posting what you do! Saved me at least $200 to fix the same problem with my dishwasher! My backwoods location tags on $75 -$100 just to set a date for repair. I have used this site before with awesome results then as well. Again, Thank you, in this time of money being short, this was a true blessing.
