I have a GE washer that seems to work fine, but then ROARS when it spins. This problem has been going on for almost a year. I have pulled off the front cover and there doesn't seem to be any sign of water leakage. Also, when I open the lid during spin, it slows down, but doesn't seem to be doing so right away. The stabilizers seem ok. Finally, when I squeeze the soft hose connecting the drain pump from the basket, I can hear water sloshing (not sure if this is normal).

Please help! I would hate to buy a new washer if this was something I could fix.
