Hi have a few questions regarding an oven Thermostat Part Number: AP3022942 Made by WHIRLPOOL
I got the element and replaced it all is working but heat is not controllable any more soI assume the thermo is bad too- here is some history wife dropped thermometer on the baking element and fried it-welded maybe more like it.
So I got replacement from these fine folks, fast to so thanks you guys are great. It cooks now but the baby goes form 0 to 600 no stops.

So the Theromostat looks more difficult mostly because I have no visuals or repair manual and I want to know 2 things. Can I get a step by step or diagram of what is where-just the basics would be great and what to take a part and would a new theromstat and element be a pretty likely complete fix or do I move on to a new unit although this one works and is in fine condition? Any help would be great I think this is an easy fix just want to do some homework first and get parts I need or take some good advice and invest time and effort elsewhere I just hate not fixing something that works fine or did and should.
