hi,
i hope a techie can help me out here.
my thermador range model gsc30cvwc's display is not working.
for some time, the display has had a problem.
used to work on and off...
sometimes slamming the oven door would cause the display to flicker on.
and it would stay on long enough to set the oven...
and sometimes it would flicker back off.
now it seems that the display doesnt work at all.
what could be the problem?
what part do i need?
is the part available?
how can i get it repaired?...how do i take the thing apart ;)

checking by your parts diagrams, it seems that the part in question is part no. 12 from diagram 4...clock, oven control, 30 in. range...part no. AP3194824...manufacturer bosch, man. no. 487603.

now quick question...how does this part go bad?
and how is it that it used to flicker on and off?
seems like a loose connection...
so, can i just dissassemble and fix it?

I have a dual fuel (gas cooktop, electric oven) Thermador oven model RDSS30QW, and my oven temperature display has dimmed to the point of now being out. Since my oven is not a double oven as noted by the last person, I am afraid to simply order the same electronic part number. I have 2 questions: if I am capable of electronic soldering, can I remove the circuit board and simply replace the display module on the board, or must I order an entire circuit board? And, if I must order the board, what is the part number? Thank you, this has been a valuable tool.

hi mark,
i found out that the display problem in my oven is not uncommon.
as the part is no longer available (even from thermador),
i have found a service center that can repair the circuitry/display.
they say that they will also redo and make adjustments to prevent the same problem from happening again.
and they give a 6 month guarantee to boot.
i've sent the part in last week...should be getting back end of this week.
will let you know how it goes.

and for your situation...
i think your display may be experiencing a similar problem.
but, you should be able to get a replacement part should you want to go that route (instead of repair...)
as for the part no...
i think the part in question is part no. ap2836528 made by bosch.
but dont hold me to this...the site that gave me a part no. for my oven, but the service repair company had a different part no. for it.
you can check out appliancepartspros.com and enter your thermador model and get the diagram/parts lists for you oven/range.
hope this helps.

Hey Sam,

I am interested in getting the name of the company that fixed your control board. I think I have the same problem. I have a Thermador S301t and the screen is blank but the oven works. Can you still help??

hi michael,
the company that "fixed" my board is cg industries...
here is a link to their web site: CG Industries - America's top remanufacturer for residential appliance parts.
you can also find them on ebay...they will do a specific listing for you.
their id is c_g_industries.
i got my board back from them and still the display isnt working unfortunately.
it seems that the display board is probably not the only thing at fault.
my board had a couple bad capacitors/etc. and they replaced those, and then made some modifications to the board to increase the reliability.
they also asked me to check on the "relay switch: power" and ensure that this board is working properly...
unfortunately this is too far in the oven, and i have no idea how to get at it.
you may wish to check yours also....this could also be a culprit in the failed display.
i hope this helps and good luck in fixing your oven.
if you need any other assistance, just let me know.

Hey everyone, this is my first post but I thought I would give feedback on how I got a customer's Thermador range fixed now that I have gotten it back and it works like new.

A customer had a thermador Double Oven model SCD272TP. I didn't know where to get it fixed after taking off the display board so I did a google search and this thread came up. I tried the company "Sam" reccomended and I sent it in and it came back about 2 weeks later and I installed it back into my clients thermador and it actually worked.

I called their number from the link CG Industries - America's top remanufacturer for residential appliance parts. and they sent me a form to send it in. They actually had a whole list of all the different thermador models and they claimed they have fixed hundreds of them.

Good thing most thermador customers don't know how to take the parts out so now I can just take them out and send them in!! I'll let you guys know if I have any problems but give that website a try.

Good luck to everyone getting theirs fixed. I hope you have the luck I do. If anyone is in Brooklyn make sure you stop by SA+

Need help. Replaced display panel. Everything lit up. No error codes.
But only “off” button on display is working...
No other buttons beep or work?
