I have an older Magic Chef oven. I just installed a new igniter on it and it solved my problem. BUT, while putting the shield back over the gas control valve I hit one of the leads and it sparked. I heard what sounded like the valve opened for about 5 seconds and then nothing. The oven will not light. The range top and power to the unit still work. Did I blow a safety valve or something?
