Because he over charged it, not because he didn't flush the system.

Well only part of the conversation is going on in this thread the other parts are in emails....so the other compressor burn outs are from over charging...

2nd comp....1st was over charged,,by 2 oz...still cant believe it takes so little 134,,,,do u know where they put the serial plate on fridgidair's,,,I looked everywhere,,,,even under the unit......

Generally there's a tag inside the refrigerator part on the side wall.

hey, just a quick question,,I know I can use an amp meter to tell the general condition of a motor,,,can I charge by amperage draw with a compressor,,,if so what are the safe specs for a compressor,,,does it depend on the ratings of the motor and if so, is there a rule of thumb by percentages???????

NO, you have to charge the system by ounces, trying to use amps would burn out the compressor by the time it gets to an appropriate amps.
You really need a scale to weigh the ounces you put in. Refrigerators are nothing like car A/C unit.
