Email sent. Will these instructions also include removing the agitator. On my washer, when I removed the large cap that holds the softener. I did not find any bolts that remove the agitator. Instead, I found some fixture with 2 blades, I assume this is for spreading the softener. Would the bolt be underneath this?
Thanks for taking the time to send the instructions, Gus

Nat,
I want to be sure for myself. If it is the clutch that indeed needs to be replaced, wouldn't the clutch disc at least spin a little a bit. I am concerned that because the clutch disc on the shaft did not spin at all during the spin cycle, that maybe there is something wrong inside the transmission gear box.
Well if it is the clutch assembly I need to buy, should I also replace the coupler, since this item is also prone to failing.

Nat,
Just for you info., after further troubleshooting, it ended up being the transmission that needed replacing and not the clutch. I test the timer, by opening the lid and then closing near the end of the wash cycle and during the rinse cycle. The motor stopped but after closing the lid, the motor resumed but still no spin. The only conclusion was the transmission was at fault. Replaced it and everything works fine.
Thanks for all your help!

Glad you got it fixed! Wish it could have been the cheaper part. Nat
