Ran over an extension cord outside and sliced it in half. The electrical plugs in my garage are now dead. Now the only other thing that I have found that won't work is the dryer. The light comes on but I can't get it to start. I have flipped all the fuses down stairs to no avail. Can't get the power back to the plugs in my garage either.

Use a meter to see if you are getting 120v to each side of the connection block. If so, you may have an internal wiring problem. You should also check your door switch and thermal fuses.
