We have a GE gas range oven that was probably installed in the house when it was built in 2005. The problem, and it is intermittent is that the top burners and the broiler work fine but the bake function no longer works. i looked at the gas valve behind the warming drawer to ensure the gas valve did not get accidentally shut off per the user guide and it was fine.
any ideas before we make a service call?
Thank yoiu

Thank you for the quick response! Does the broiler function and the bake function utilize separate igniter coils? It looked as if there were two on the parts diagram.
The parts diagram on this website identified GE part number AP2014008 "Oven or Broiler Igniter, Round Style" for $64.95 which looks the part you mentioned.
Can this be replaced by the commoner or does it require a professional? I would assume that you'd close the gas valve and replace the part.
Thank you for the information!

You are correct with the part #, and you don't have to shut the gas off. You can do it. Just unplug the oven.
