The clip holding the wheel in place on this part is broken. Is it possible for me to replace this part myself without affecting the water seal since this part mounts into the tub? How would I go about doing this? I don't want to force the part out and I cannot readily see how this piece is mounted on the dishwasher tub. Do I need to pull out the entire dishwasher so I can access the mounting on the outside of the dishwasher?

There are two screws (#22 on the diagram) which are going through the tub and securing the track mount (#19). You have to pull out the dishwasher until you can access the screws. You have to order the two gaskets (#21) per one track mount.

Thanks for the quick reply. The part your quoted #19 is the mount for the upper rack. The part #8564899 I need to replace is for the Third Level (aka cutlery tray) rack and is part #3 on the Third Level Rack diagram. Is it also mounted by screws accessible after I pull out the dishwasher? Does it also have gaskets I need to replace?

Here's the link to the Third Level Rack Diagram:

Never had problems with this rack but I believe its design should be very similar.

Hello Gene, reading here you may have helped with this same scenario before. I have the kitchenaid kuds03fsss3 dishwasher. the 3rd row mount track on the right side is broken. there do not appear to be any screws holding in this mount. how does it release from the inside? thanks!

Hello,

I believe there are screws and you have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet to access them.
