My part has 2 wire hook ups the new has 4 wire hook ups what are the other 2 for old part # 3399848 New 3387134

Looks like you have the wrong part. When I use the part numbers and cross refence them on AppliancePartsPros i get:
Your old part is a thermal cut-off and includes a hi-limit thermostat.
The new part you have comes up as a cycling thermostat (main control thermostat). It has 2 connectors for it's contacts and two connectors for an internal heater. This heater is used to provide different operating temperatures for the dryer. |
