I have justed finished the installation of a new bosch 30" downdraft. I have a weird problem and just want to know if this is installer error or something wrong with the unit itself.

The moment the unit is plugged into power the snorkel begins to raise and will stop extending at the proper point. The fan controls work fine. I have to press AND hold the button for the snorkel will retract, but the moment I let go of the button the snorkel will immediately stop going down and begin to extend again. I had to have someone hold the button while I unplugged the power to leave the unit in the down position.

Any thoughts?
