Hi. I read in a post for another person with an oven similar to mine that it was advisable to not use the self-cleaning feature because it would blow the thermal fuse and maybe even the thermostat. Is that true for my oven? I have a Whirlpool electric double oven Model RBD245PDQ11. Thanks.

Yes, this is true. It was ongoing problem with most of Whirlpool electric ovens for at least ten years.

If you ask me the airflow is all wrong on these and I practically got a WP tech to agree with me. Not to mention the t-fuse should be the kind that resets itself, but that's another story.
