It stops normally at the beginning of both the rinse and spin cycles. If it's a small load on gentle it might make it till the last cycle before stopping. If you turn the knob just a snidget ahead of each cycle where its at just a little it will start back up and finish that cycle. The start of the washing machine and the wash cycle seem to work just fine.
