I've got a Kenmore fridge that's about 20 yrs old and I'm trying to add an ice maker. (The fridge was configured to accept an ice maker, but we didn't originally have one installed.) I've run into two things that confuse me.

1) Although I found the upper connector for the ice maker (it's a freezer-on-top model), I can't find the one that's supposed to be down below to connect to the water pump solenoid. Any idea where I should be looking or why I can't find it?

2) While trying to figure this out, I've been searching lots of places and can't seem to find my fridge's model number (106.8692610) anywhere. I see lots of model numbers below 106.79 and numbers above 106.9. Any idea why I can't find manuals or parts for my model?
