My washing machine has recently began jumping all over the place during the spin cycle. I have checked and the four tub dampening straps are secure and the machine is level. What else might be the problem. I know it is an older washer, but everything else works fine and I would like to avoid having to replace it at this time.

A good candidate for the culprit is your snubber pads. Here is a link which will show you where they are.

Since your supports seem ok, I would examine the snubbers, and given the age of your machine I think that is likely to fix your problem.

Whoops

Hobby, a friend of mine commented that while your model is old, it is not the older style with the back that comes off, which is what I assumed when I made my last reply.

If that is the case, disregard it and look again at your suspension rods and the rubber connections. I know you have checked them but they are still the most likely candidate for your problem. I would operate the machine with the front off for additional insight.

Sorry for any confusion, let us know what you find out.
