Sears Kenmore side-by-side, M# 253.5568940B. About 12 years old and no previous problems.

Freezer: The interior walls and several plastic bags of food feel barely cool to the touch. Definitely not in anyway cold or even chilled but not quite room temp either. There is no ice build-up within the freezer and it has never really been over-stuffed.

Refrig: The food and the glass shelves feel cool to the touch, not as cool as the freezer, but not quite room temp. The odd/crazy part is this: the food in the upper 3 shelves of the door are barely cool, almost room temp yet a 2-L plastic bottle of coke in the bottom holder of the refrig door has frozen to 'slush' consistency twice. Sun evening, slush. Monday, regular liquid. This morning, regular liquid but this afternoon slush.

Sounds: I can hear the hum of the refrigerator and it seems on-going. But I also hear occasional clicks and a whir sound. The click sounds like if you dropped an ice cube into a cup. The whir sound is not as loud but can definitely hear it like something is spinning then quits. Sometime, maybe 60% of the time the refrig 'clicks' but there is no follow-up whir.
