Our Kitchen Aid has been freezing all the food ever since a lightning power surge last summer. A repairman replaced the damper, with no change. The main board would not go into service mode, so we replaced that. We reprogrammed the new board with the correct code, and then put it into service mode. Everything checks out OK except it shows all of the thermistors as open. That seems odd that they would all read open, not just one. Anyway, it is still freezing food. Naturally we have tried adjusting temperatures, to no avail.
What could cause all of the thermistors to read open on the service mode? I'm assuming this is the key to the problem, but I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks.
