Have a problem and I need some help. I have a Maytag Centennial washer. Problem started with dripping wet clothes when wash cycle was completed. Then a few days later when you hit the start button the "sensing" light would come on, lock would click, lock light would come on, tub would move 1-2 inches, motor him for a second, then another click, lock light would start to blink or flash. It would stay like this. The only way to remove the clothes was to unplug washer, sit for 30 seconds, plug it back in, when the lock light would come on press and hold start for 3 seconds and it would unlock.
I did some research and found or thought the "shift actuator" was bad. Ordered a new one, replaced it. Re-calibrated the machine,.....same problem. It will not work. So, after more research I am thinking that the lock switch assembly is bad. Does this sound right? I'm not an appliance repair guy, I can replace parts, but I'm no technician. I need some guidance and knowledge thrown in here. Help!
