So I have an LG LFX25960ST. The power surged briefly at my home and the machine stopped cooling.
I checked the relay (by shaking it) it made a rattling noise so I replaced it and the overload.
The compressor still failed to come on, blowing the overload about 5 seconds into the compressor trying to start.
I stuck a supco 3 in 1 on it and now it's running, but its not cycling off.... The compressor just stays on. I took the copasitor to a parts store and they told me it wasn't faulty and pushed the supco 3 n 1 on me. What's my next step, why isn't this thing cycling.... It's now freezing and cooling well.
But I'm afraid of my electric bill and why the OEM parts didn't fix the issue.
