I need to replace the belt pulley on the transmission and cannot slide the pulley off. How do I slide the pulley off, there is no room. Do I have to raise the tub, trans, and brakes? Please help.

This is a complex somewhat difficult job requiring special tools and alot of time. If you want to try it here is the service manual.

Maytag will no longer allow us to link to their service manuals.

If you will start a new thread and post a model number along with a description of your problem someone may be able to help you.
