I have a continuous drip from the fill tube coming out of the top of the freezer despite turning off the water valve coming out of the wall to the fridge. I removed the icemaker and have a bucket catching the drip in the freezer for the past few days, but was wondering if i need a new water valve assembly? The one that is in there now is model # X74 QC1, part #22188746 but from what i've read, this one is not made anymore? What would be an appropriate replacement piece? Thanks for any help

I am not sure what the part number on the part is.
Could be that the part has been upgraded and therefore has a different number.

Below is what comes up for your unit.
Click on the picture for more info/views on this part.
Also it is best to talk to the Parts reps at AppliancePartsPros as they have more info about parts.
Part number: AP5263471

You may also need a shut off valve for the supply line.
It should have stopped dripping by now depending on how long and where the supply tubing is.
