Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 5/3/2011(UTC) Posts: 1		I have a continuous drip from the fill tube coming out of the top of the freezer despite turning off the water valve coming out of the wall to the fridge. I removed the icemaker and have a bucket catching the drip in the freezer for the past few days, but was wondering if i need a new water valve assembly? The one that is in there now is model # X74 QC1, part #22188746 but from what i've read, this one is not made anymore? What would be an appropriate replacement piece? Thanks for any help Dan

Could be that the part has been upgraded and therefore has a different number. Below is what comes up for your unit. Click on the picture for more info/views on this part. Also it is best to talk to the Parts reps at AppliancePartsPros as they have more info about parts. Part number: AP5263471 You may also need a shut off valve for the supply line. It should have stopped dripping by now depending on how long and where the supply tubing is.
