HI:
We have an older eatons fridge/freezer RF1707T6 and the freezer will not cool enough. Temp is between 2 to 4 deg. C. It continually runs. The compressor is runing and the evaporator fan in freezer is running. Checked the defrost timer and appears to work ( when turned the fridge stops running and starts by itself after some time) did not time it. Took back cover off in the freezer and the the only ice was on the tubes on the side. The evaporator fins were clear (no ice). The temp. switch works as far as shutting off the freezer and turning it on. As soon as you turn the switch to on, it starts running. Doesn't matter if you turn it to colder or warmer, the fridge continues to run. It never stops and never gets cold. The compressor is running (vibrating). Any ideas.

Thanks

Seems like a refrigerant leak, but a bad one, probably not worth fixing
