Force a defrost cycle (page 36 in the manual).
If the heater comes on then it is probably the control board.

If it does not then check the defrost heater and thermal fuse with a meter.
Perhaps one of them is blown.

If both are OK then it is probably the control board.

I am off on holidays on Saturday so if you need more help you may have to start a new post.
