The clock and timer are working fine. The stove top, oven and broiler are not working at all....Is this repairable ?

Here are your parts Parts for Maytag PER5710BAW Range - AppliancePartsPros.com Following is a service manual. Although it doeds not list your unit it should be s close match.as your unit is likely to be close to a MER5710 whose wiring diagram is on page 4-60. You will have to join the site and be logged in to be able to download the manual. http://appliancejunk.com...ownloads;sa=view;down=25Since the stove top elements and oven element are wired separately in the unit the first thing to check is the power. If you lose the 240 volts then all elements will not work but the timer etc. will. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! |
