Kitchen Aid side by side superba, refrigerator door does not shut properly, seal is good and it is level, freezer side shuts and seals fine. Always have to really push to make sure fridge side shuts good. Have noticed that the side by side doors are not flush or exactly same level on top. How do you adjust hinges? or could it be something else. No blockage inside fridge. Been on going and getting worse.

you cannot adjust the hinges, something is very likely bent. Due to the weight of these doors, I would HIGHLY recommend you have a qualified refrigerator service diagnose and possibly repair this minor problem. If you attempt it yourself, you could damage the floor of your kitchen.

I had this same problem a few years ago. The weight of the door ground away the plastic hinge coupler and wore away the part of the door it mounts into. I replaced the coupler and it mostly worked, but the door does not sit properly due to the damage that occurred on the part of the door the coupler slides into. I'd like to repair it for good, but now many of the parts are unavailable. I was at the applicance store last night, and noticed the new whirlpools seem to have the same mechanism as my 15yr old KitchenAid Superba. Can I substitute whirlpool parts on this? I dont want to buy a new $1600 refrig just to avoid a $100 repair. Any suggestions?
